The Toyota Venza was launched in 2008, but this year company is preparing to launch the car with a new look. This time, it will be coming with enhanced exterior styling, several new standard convenience features and updated option packages. The 2013 Toyota Venza made its official debut at the 2012 New York Motor Show. As earlier, the 2013 Venza will be offered in LE, XLE and Limited grades, with a choice of 4-cylinder or V6 engines. Both all-wheel drive (AWD) and front-wheel drive (FWD) configurations will also be available. The list of standard equipments for 2013 will include, depending on the trim level: Driver Memory Seat, Display Audio with Navigation, Reverse Tilt Outer Mirrors, LED Daytime Running Lights, Toyota Entune, and Premium HDD Navigation with Entune and JBL. Exteriors:
The 2013 Toyota Venza has been given a new external look. For the 2013 model year, the Venza has received a new exterior design language thanks to the addition of a new distinctive grille, an angled rear hatch, spoiler, wide wraparound taillights, new headlights and fog lamps have been added to the latest design. The company is also offering a new set of wheels: the 4-cylinder models will come with the standard 19 inch, 10-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, while the V6 models have got new 20 inch 5-spoke aluminum alloy wheels. Both models will have a standard power-assisted, ventilated front and solid rear disc brakes.
Interiors:
Color options are also available for the interiors of the car, customers can choose from Ivory, Light Gray, and Black colors. All 3 versions will come with an Optitron speedometer and tachometer. All models will also have sufficient head room, hip room, shoulder room and couple distance. The XLE and Limited grade cars will also include a TFT multi-color center instrument panel display. An adjustable center console with a sliding cover and armrest is provided. Three iPod/MP3 player holders are present with wire concealment features and a large storage compartment. The new car is equipped with a USB port, auxiliary audio jack and 12-volt power outlet. Toyota Entune multimedia system is a new feature added to the car. The Entune multimedia system provides a richer in-vehicle experience with fully integrated access to entertainment, navigation, and information services like Pandora, iheart radio, OpenTable and Bing. LE models get new Display Audio systems with blind-spot side mirrors, puddle lamps and outer turn signals. Venza XLE models get a memory power driver’s seat and reverse-tilt outside mirrors and navigation. All Limited models will get LED daytime running lights along with premium 13-speaker JBL sound and an upgraded navigation system.
Engine:
The new Toyota Venza comes with a 4-cylinder or a V6 engine, in combination with FWD or AWD systems. The 2.7 liter 4-cylinder engine delivers a total of 181 HP at 5,800 rpm and 182 lb. ft. of torque at 4,200 rpm, whereas the 3.5 liter V6 goes up to 268 HP at 6,200 rpm and 246 lb.ft. of torque at 4,700 rpm. The four-cylinder models have a fuel economy rate of 20 MPG city/25 MPG highway for the AWD model and 21/27 for the FWD, while the V6 versions offer 18 MPG city/25 MPG highway for the AWD models and 19/26 for the FWD. Both engines are equipped with a six-speed sequential-shift electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence (ECT-i).
Safety:
The 2013 Toyota Venza comes with Traction Control (TRAC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Anti-lock brakes Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Smart Stop Technology (SST) and Brake Assist. It also features 4 wheel disc brakes, Anti-whiplash front head restraints, Dual front impact airbags, Dual front side impact airbags, Occupant sensing airbag, Overhead airbag, Knee airbag, Electronic stability, Ignition disable, Perimeter/approach lights, Panic alarm and some other safety features.
Price:
The new Venza has three color options including Attitude Black, Cypress Pearl and Cosmic Gray Mica. The sales of the car are scheduled to begin later in 2012. The price of the 2013 Toyota Venza ranges from $27,700 to $38,870, excluding $810 destination charge. The car will have 10 different models, each having a different price. Excluding the destination charge, prices across the Venza lineup have been increased from 0.9 percent (LE V-6 FWD/AWD) to 5.3 percent (XLE, four-cylinder FWD).
