The Powertrain
The 2014 Impala will offer three engine choices to suit the customer’s needs. Depending on the budget and desires of users, they can select any one of the three engines. The three engines include a 3.6-liter V6, a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder, and a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with eAssist. The 3.6-liter VVT engine can offer an output of 303 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque, the 2.5-liter four-cylinder can provide an output of 195 horsepower and 187 lb-ft of torque, and the 2.4-liter Ecotec engine is good for 182 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque.
All three engines will drive the front wheels and will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. It is expected that 3.6-liter V6 model will provide a fuel economy rate of 30 mpg on the highway, 2.5-liter four-cylinder will give 31 mpg on highway, and the 2.4-liter four-cylinder with eAssist model will provide 35 mpg on the highway.
Innovative safety features
The all new 2014 Chevrolet Impala will be packed with some remarkable safety features. It will have 10 standard airbags and OnStar for safety purpose. Other safety features include lane departure warning, forward collision alert, rear cross traffic alert, side blind zone alert, rear camera, collision mitigation braking, rear park assist, and full-speed-range adaptive cruise control.
The full speed range adaptive cruise control is really interesting as in traffic the system will automatically apply brake and bring the car to a complete stop, and then it also accelerates the car as the traffic moves. The collision mitigation braking system is also very much useful. This new system will alert the driver of an upcoming impact, and apply the brakes automatically if no action is taken by the driver.

The car’s nicest touch, is it’s lower “crease indentation,” & rear fender accent.
Make a 2-door version! Elongate the hood, “smoke-out” the bland taillights, add “hood vents,” switch to RWD, add the LT-V8, quad-dual exhausts, lower the car, and we just may have something to talk about.
I BET YOU DREAM IN TECHNICOLOR …LOL
