The South Korean automaker, Kia has revealed the initial real-life photos of its forthcoming compact sedan, 2014 Kia Forte on Kia Korea Facebook’s Fan Page after the release of two teaser sketches on Monday. This compact sedan will be available under a trio of diverse names such as Kia Forte, the K3, or Cerato around the world. The photos show that this car has attractive and stylish look. As per Kia, this compact sedan will be longer, lower, and wider in comparison to other models as well as it contains an expanded wheelbase. This car will again come in the option of sedan, coupe and hatch body-styles.
Kia Forte will be featured with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that will deliver fuel economy as high as 27/36 mpg city/highway. It is believed that a drive-train with same specifications will be available in the new generation. U.S. models maybe featured with the company’s newest 148-horsepower 1.8-liter ‘Nu’ four-cylinder engine whereas abroad markets even benefiting from a 126-horsepower 1.6-liter diesel. It is one of the most significant models from Kia. This new car will be sold in other market places early next year.
This compact sedan will join the “K” family as K3 in South Korea, besides the K5 (Optima), K7 (Cadenza) and lately K9 (Quoris). It will be known as Kia Forte in other foreign markets like North America, whereas it will be known as the new Cerato in Australia, Brazil and other markets.
