Even though the 2014 Mazda6 car will make its first appearance in Moscow, the complete array of vehicles will make their global debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show which will be held by the end of September 2012. Therefore, the entire world (excluding Mexico) will have to wait till September to know what exactly the 2014 Mazda6 car will offer for individual markets. Unfortunately, there is no word yet about the price of the upcoming car. However, it is expected to come for a price of $21,520 around. Plus, it is almost confirmed that the brand new 2014 Mazda6 will hit the market for public by the first quarter of year 2013.
Mazda has officially announced in a press release that the 2014 Mazda6 sedan will feature the new generation technology called ‘SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY’ which ensures enhanced driving pleasure along with excellent performance and fuel efficiency. After 2013 Mazda CX-5, the 2014 Mazda6 is the second car from Mazda that will incorporate the Skyactive technology. Mazda has also confirmed that the 2014 Mazda6 model will feature the new i-ELOOP (Intelligent Energy Loop) system that will help the car in delivering better economy up to ten percent. The ‘i-ELOOP’ system is actually a capacitor-based regenerative braking system that converts the kinetic energy produced during the application of brake into electricity. The produced electricity gets stored in a capacitor and this capacitor provides the required power for working of the car’s lights, fuel pump, air conditioning, and transmission & engine control systems.
It is also officially confirmed that the particular model which will be revealed at the Moscow Motor Show will be a four-door sedan having a direct-injection SKYACTIV-G 2.0 gasoline engine together with 6-speed SKYACTIV-DRIVE automatic transmission. Other than these, Mazda has not revealed anything about the upcoming model. Most likely, Mazda will disclose more info about the specs and features of the stylish 2014 Mazda6 car in the press conference that will be held at the Moscow International Automobile Salon. One thing is for sure, on the arrival of 2014 Mazda6 model in the market by the early quarter of 2013, it will become a tough competitor in its segment against several new cars like Nissan Altima, Ford Fusion, and Honda Accord.
