Engine and Performance:
Ford Classic is available with two types of engines that offer different level of power and engine performance. Four variants of the Classic possess a 1.6L, 1596cc, Duratec petrol engine producing 101bhp power for high engine performance and excellent acceleration. Other three variants of Ford Classic are powered by a 1.4L, 1399cc, Duratorq TDCi diesel engine producing a max power of 68PS at 4000rpm. The Dura technology offers high performance DuraVroom acceleration, DuraSave fuel efficiency and DuraSmooth driving experience. The petrol engine offers an excellent acceleration of 100 kmph in 11.43 seconds and a top speed mark of 170kmph. The diesel engine offers an acceleration of 100kmph in just 12.8 seconds and a top speed mark of 165 kmph.
Verito has both petrol and diesel engines. The first one is a 1.4 L, 4 cylinder, 1390cc, petrol engine mated with five speed manual transmission. This SOHC engine is fuel efficient and offers stress-free performance with a maximum power of 75 hp at 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 110 Nm at 3000 rpm. The diesel engine is packed with 1.5 L, 4 cylinder 1461cc with 5 speed manual transmission. The In-line dCi engine helps offering a better performance. This engine produces a maximum power of 65 hp at 4000 rpm and a peak torque of 160 Nm at 2000 rpm through a five speed manual transmission. All the variants of the Verito are also available as BS III and BS IV compliant. With a MPFI fuel system, the 1.5 L engine offers an awesome performance with an acceleration of 100 km in only 17.2 seconds and a top speed of 151 kmph. The handling of Ford Classic is super accurate. Verito also offers good handling, but it is not as accurate as the Classic.
Handling and Safety:
The Ford car has two types of wheels including alloy wheels and steel wheels. The front wheels are outfitted with ventilated disc brakes and the rear wheels are equipped with drum brakes. The larger diameter ventilated disc brakes are assisted by Antilock Brake System (ABS) with EBD that allow the car to de-accelerate quickly so that it may never slip out of control.
