EIZO FORIS FS2333: A Gaming monitor highlights hidden things in shadow

Eizo launched a new monitor, FS2333 in its FORIS range on 12th June. FORIS FS2333 is particularly designed for gaming to highlight details hidden in the shadow or dark areas of the screen. It can be also used for other leisure time activities like editing photos and watching movies. It looks like a computer monitor but includes amazing advantages compared to other gaming monitors. It comes with three “smart” features that provide competitive benefit to players. It features 23-inch full HD screen with a native resolution of 1920 x 1080P. Eizo and Fnatic have developed the screen of this monitor. It will be available from July, but the company has not revealed yet the price details of this new monitor.

It is equipped with “Smart Insight,” which utilizes company’s all-new tone mapping technology to enhance visibility in dark areas without dropping contrast. This tone mapping technology has 5 settings for FPS (first person shooter) and RTS (real time strategy) games. FORIS FS2333 also sports two other Smart technologies known as “Smart Resolution” and “Smart Detection”. Smart Resolution Technology is company’s own super-resolution technology. Smart Resolution corrects the blur of an image only in required area without increasing the noise while Smart Detection sharpens the image particularly where the action is going on by applying super-resolution processing.

The dynamic contrast and brightness of the monitor are 5000:1 and 250 cd / sq.m respectively. An IPS panel and a mercury-free LED backlight are used by the monitor. This new monitor comes with an ergonomic stand to adjust the screen. Users can adjust height up to 60mm, tilt the screen up to 25° and swivel it up to 344°. There is also a handle on the rear so users can take the monitor with them to a gaming event. It features 5 preset modes (Game, Paper, Eco, sRGB & Cinema) and 2 user adjustable modes. Other features of this monitor are a remote control with access to the on-screen display menu, one D-Sub (analog) input, dual HDMI inputs, dual 0.5 watt internal speakers, headphone jacks as well as one DVI-D (digital) input.
