Ematic, the budget-friendly phone maker unveiled its latest 9.7-inch tablet named eGlide Pro X. The company comes up with a wide range of products every year like CE devices, e-readers, MP3 players, cameras and digital photo frames. This time, a new tablet is designed by Ematic for both professional and personal use as it sports the versatility of Google’s most recent mobile operating system. The device runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. eGlide Pro X comes with a software that allows its users to view PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Excel files.

eGlide Pro X is powered by 1.2GHz processor, which is paired with 400MHz GPU. The tablet has a storage capacity of 8GB internal memory and 5GB cloud storage, plus the additional use of microSD card is also supported that can be expanded up to 32GB. eGlide Pro X features 9.7 inches screen with an aspect ratio of 4:3.
The tablet can access a wide catalog of apps stored in Ematic’s App Shop, one such app is Kobo Reading app that can access over 2.5 million ebooks. Ematic Digital Assistant & Navigator (EDAN) utilizes voice-to-text technology that permits the users to search different locations and movie times on the web.
Ematic’s new tablet comes with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixel display. The device can store 1080p video which can be displayed on an HDMI-connected TV. The additional features include a built in three-axis gyroscope, WiFi, an improved intuitive interface & faster web browsing, front and back camera for capturing stills & recording videos, and HDMI port for representing the tablet’s display on larger screen.
