The EUROCOM Scorpius, Ultra High Performance Notebook is being launched by Eurocom Corporation. Eurocom Scorpius comes with support for dual graphics technology. Eurocom has established an unusual but soft spot in users’ hearts with its desktop replacement-level laptops. The Eurocom Scorpius is packed with a bit over the most high-end desktop-replacement laptops pack in with an intention to get the title of ‘greatest notebook of all time’. Eurocom Scorpius can optionally bring two of NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 680M graphic chips with the full 4GB of video RAM per piece and it supports up to 32GB of DDR3 RAM.

Eurocom Scorpius will be featured with dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M GPUs including 1688 CUDA cores, 8 GB of DDR5 video memory, with the 720MHz graphics clock speed. It will contain dual AMD Radeon HD 7970M, 1560 Stream Processors, 4GB GDDR5 video memory, with an 850 MHz engine clock speed that lets users to play the most challenging games on maximum settings. The Eurocom Scorpius will come with professional-grade alternatives from the latest NVIDIA Quadro lineup such as the 28nm Kepler-based K5000M, K4000M and K3000M units for the eventual in moveable power. The Quadro K5000M GPU contains 1344 CUDA cores and 4GB GDDR5 graphics memory.
Eurocom Scorpius will be powered by powerful Intel Core i7-3920XM Processor Extreme Edition that will run at up to 3.8 GHz with 8MB of L3 cache, and provide outstanding high-definition multimedia, multi-tasking and multi-threaded performance. It will include up to 32 GB of DDR3 1600 memory, three storage drives like SSD, HDD and Hybrid HDD, as well as one mSATA drive for hoarding content. This device will feature Onkyo speakers, a subwoofer and the Sound Blaster X-Fi MB2 software suite for entertainment. It will also have of a full-sized backlit keyboard with a numeric pad, 7.1 channel audio out, HDMI 1.4a, a 9-in-1 card reader and much more. It will contain 8-cells high capacity battery.
The EUROCOM Scorpius will come with support for Sound Blaster X-Fi™ MB2, subwoofer, 2 watt speakers and external 7.1CH audio output support. Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ MB2 software suite, a commanding audio platform will be packed with state of the art audio technology and THX TruStudio Pro along with a host of other software to improve the audio of games, movies and music. It will include 17.3-inch FHD display, and 8GB of video memory through CrossfireX and SLI. RAID 0/1/5/10 will be supported in the Scorpius for raised storage performance or redundancy.
Users will be allowed to join the system to external displays for gaming and video streaming such as HDMI 1.4a, S/PDIF, and Display Port 1.2 with its lots of connectivity options. The EUROCOM Scorpius will feature an illuminate backlit full size keyboard with numeric keypad. The backlit keyboard assists to boost usability in dim lighting conditions, to make sure operators can see the keyboard in almost any atmosphere. The measurement of this notebook is 419mm x 286mm x 24mm to 49.7mm and its weight is 3.5kg. It will not include Optimus support. It will be available for purchasing on the company’s website with the price tag of $2,199. Its expected price is $1,793 but due to dual-GPU graphics and other top-tier parts it will cost $2,857 or possibly more.
