Panasonic Corporation, one of the largest electronic product manufacturers in the world, has unveiled two new 12.1 notebooks with SX and NX Series in Let’s Note lineup to enhance your lifestyle, on 25th January, 2012. The launch of these latest Panasonic Notebooks is scheduled on 24th February, 2012 in Japan. As of now, there is no idea whether the Panasonic would launch the latest notebooks in other countries or not. The approximate value of SX1 and NX1 could be $2426 USD and $2361 USD respectively.
The notebook SX1, also known as toughbook SX1 consists of wonderful features which includes a Core i5-2450M CPU or standard voltage Core i5-2540M, RAM of 4 GB capacity, DVD drive and the display has a maximum resolution of 1600×900. The unit can be equipped with either an HDD (Hard Disk Drive) or SSD (Solid State Drive) with 4G connectivity options, depending on your choice of specification. SSD is very fast compared to traditional HDD as SSD can boot your system in just 9 seconds. Even though the SX1 is not as thin as ultrabook, its thickness is only 25.4mm i.e. approximately 1 inch.
The 12.1-inch unit SX1 is also featured with multi-card reader, 1x USB 2.0 port, 2x USB 3.0 ports, RJ-45 and a 720p webcam. Besides all these facilities, you can continuously use it for 17 hours, depending on your doings. The toughbook NX1 offers all features of SX1 except for optical drive. The processor is somewhat less powerful compared to SX1 i.e. 2.5GHz Core i5. There will be a built-in fingerprint sensor in the upgraded model. A top model also offers a 128GB SSD in addition to WiMAX. Other features include WiFi ABGN, USB 3.0 and Bluetooth connection. You can use it continuously for approximately 7.5 hours.
