The demand for water resistant devices is increasing day by day. Waterproof cameras, laptop bags, headphones, cases, and cell phones are already available in the market. So, keeping water resistant devices’ demand in mind, a new digital media player has been launched by Panasonic. The name of this media player is SV-ME1000. The device is water resistant (IPX6/7 body) so it is safe even when you are at the water park or in shower or bathtub. It was launched on 31st May, 2012. It comes with lots of wonderful specs and features.

SV-ME1000 sports 7-inch display with a resolution of 800 × 480 pixels. It runs on Google’s Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System and has 4GB built-in storage but just 1.94GB left for storage. Users are able to expand the memory with the help of a SDXC memory card. There are two cameras: 2 megapixels rear camera and 0.3 megapixels front facing camera. Any multimedia content can be played by the users. It features a 1Seg TV Tuner which help the users to watch TV. There is also Wi –fi connectivity so users can surf the net.
Users are able to watch programs recorded by one of Panasonic’s Diga video recorder thanks to its DIGA support. It is compatible with DLNA so users can easily play multimedia content wirelessly. This portable media player will hit the Japanese Market at the end of June with a price tag of about 43,000 Yen. The company has not revealed whether SV-ME1000 media player will be available in Europe or not.
