An XDA-Developers forum member published the alleged press images of Sony’s forthcoming Xperia Tablet on Thursday. Sony Xperia Tablet is scheduled to reveal by Sony Company at pre-IFA event in August, 29 and launched at IFA in September in Berlin. It was estimated that this tablet will bring the unique “wedge” design of the Sony Tablet S. However, the pictures point out that Sony has discarded the wedge shape for providing Xperia Tablet a sleeker and thinner design. This thinner device will noticeably come with the improved features.

The Sony Xperia Tablet will come in a Magnesium-Aluminium Alloy body, and its weight will be 570 grams. Sony Xperia Tablet will be powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. It is expected that this device will run on Android 4.0. Jelly Bean. It will contain 9.4-inch display with resolution of 1280×800-pixels similar to the Tablet S. This device will be featured with 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 1-megapixel front-facing camera for video chatting. It will also include 6000 mAh battery that will provide approximately 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing.
Sony Xperia Tablet will contain Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, SD card slot, and GPS. The images has one interesting feature that looks like a clip at the top of this device and it is anticipated that the clips possibly folds out to elevate the tablet. This tablet will come in three variants such as 16 GB, 32GB, and 64GB that will be expandable via the microSD card slot. The expected price of Sony Xperia Tablet will be $399.99 for the 16GB model, $499.99 for the 32GB model and $599.99 for the 64GB model.
