Again, LG Optimus has launched new model of Optimus series, “Optimus 4X” with 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad core processor, which is not only the feature that will attract people but it also has several other best features like Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 4.7 inch touch-screen display, etc. to draw the attention of people. In need of maximum power, Tegra 3 automatically starts all four cores, but unfortunately in the need of less power, it defaults to the fifth battery-saver core. It is also featured with LG’s new User Experience (UX), by which users can instantly jot memos or noted from any screen.
LG Optimus 4X’s 4.7 inch True HD-IPS capacitive touchscreen display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass and delivers 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. In the appearance, it can win the beauty department award because it is packed with sterile look, rigid rectangular shape and textured plastic battery cover. The touchscreen display photos very clearly but text depiction is not perfect. Text becomes little bit pixelated and fuzzy when viewing certain websites. The display of Optimus is excellent for playing games, watching a video and casual web browsing.
Optimus 4X is packed with 8-megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash and 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for video chat. The result of 8 MP camera is okay for indoor photo shoot and excellent for outdoor photo shoot. It is also available with some standard features like 4 GB storage, 512 MB RAM, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, Bluetooth version 3.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi hotspot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS with A-GPS, Google Play Store, etc. It is 118.3 x 66.5 x 9.5 mm in dimension and 125g in weight.
Power is supplied by Li-Ion 2150 mAh battery, which runs up to 9 hours and 20 minutes of talk time on 3G. The battery is available with 730 hrs of stand-by time. It also offers stereo FM radio with RDS, 3.5 mm headset jack, 16GB of internal memory, which can be extended up to 32GB. It is available at the price tag of Rs. 34,990 (approx. $630) in India. In Indian market, it will compete with android-based smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S III and HTC One X.
