Micromax Informatics Limited, the Indian mobile manufacturer is ready to hit the smartphone market once again. The company is planning to launch two new handsets called the Micromax A90 and A100 superfones. Both these devices are expected to be dual SIM handsets running Android platforms. Both the handsets may release on August 8 or August 9. The prices of the device are expected to be between Rs 12,500 and Rs 14,999.
The A90 Superfone will be a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) handset with a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display. It will run the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich platform and will be powered by a powerful 1GHz processor. It is said to sport an 8 megapixel rear camera with an ability to capture 1080p Full HD videos.
Also, there will be a 1.3 megapixel secondary camera on the front for video calling. It has an internal storage of 1GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB. For connectivity, it is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0, micro USB v2.0, 3.5mm Audio Jack and GPS with aGPS. Multi Format Audio and Video Players are supported and pre-loaded apps like Facebook, Youtube, Google Search have been included.
The second handset called the A100 Superfone will feature a 5 inch large screen along with an 8-megapixel camera on the rear. It is also expected to be a Dual SIM phone powered by a Dual Core chipset. This handset may run the Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Any details regarding the other specifications of these handsets are not available at the moment.
