For such people NBC along with Adobe, has launched two new Olympics apps through which they may keep track of the event and watch the live streaming of the games on their smartphones or tablets. These apps are NBC Olympics app and NBC Olympics Live Extra app.

Using the NBC Olympics app, the users can prepare themselves by watching the news, videos, photos for every sport and all athletes of the USA team. They can also follow their favorite sports, teams and athletes. The app allows sharing Olympic Games content through the social networking websites like Twitter, Facebook and Google+. The app offers more info about London Olympics with photos, videos and news. During the Olympics, users may get the real time results and schedules of all the sports. The app keeps the user updated with the overall sport by sport medal count.
The second app NBC Olympics Live Extra app allows accessing short-form video clips, which offer preview of the London Olympics and review of the Beijing Olympics. It enhances the viewing experience with alternate camera views and full replays on the move. Users can follow their favorite events and sports, and receive push notifications for start times of the event. Through the NBC’s online listings schedule, users can set event reminders. During the games, users may watch every event of the London 2012 Olympics LIVE. You can easily view the replays of all the events. You can also view sports like gymnastics and track & field from multiple camera angles. Get reminder alerts for forthcoming events. All the full event replays and most of the live streams will have DVR capabilities.
To access the live stream content, existing cable, satellite and telco, customers will have to follow a verification procedure. First download the NBC Olympics Live Extra app. Open it and tap the ‘Touch Here & Get Ready’ message. Select your service provider (cable, satellite or telco). Enter your username and password. Now you are signed in throughout the Olympic Games on your device. Repeat the process on other devices with which you want to use the app. This service does not require any additional charge and the subscription of the customer will not be affected as well. People who do not have a username and password will have to contact their service provider to create one.
For using these two apps, you must be subscribed to a service that includes MSNBC and CNBC. These apps are available for free download. Both of these may be used on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android devices with version 2.2 or higher. NBC Olympics video is accessible only in the U.S. and some of the U.S. territories. The NBC Olympics app requires a WiFi, 3G or 4G data connection. Watching video over a 3G or 4G network may affect the wireless data plan of the users.
