A popular tablet and computer peripherals manufacturer, Asus is expected to officially announce its PadFone phone / tablet hybrid on 27th February 2012 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. ASUS Padfone is the combination of two devices, a Smartphone with a 4.3 inch display and a tablet dock with a 10.1 inch display. ASUS Padfone contains a supplied 10 inch tablet dock that will expand the capacities of the Smartphone to a big screen device. The Smartphone can be kept in a supplied 10.1 inch tablet dock. The dock includes a separate battery pack that will improve the battery life of Padfone.
Things such as speakers, the display, an extra battery and standard set of buttons are kept in the dock. It is expected that Padfone will also be featured with a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and Android’s latest manufacture, the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Padfone will contain high speed data connectivity and features of real smartphone that makes it an ideal device. A smartphone is turned into a tablet by the Asus Padfone because they both run on quad-core Tegra 3 processors. Stereo speakers are shown in the tablet.
The Padfone will be featured with a 4.3″ touch-screen, front facing camera and back facing 8MP camera with flash/auto focus. A capacitive multi-touch display the Padstation dock will be incorporated in the Padfone smartphone. The Padfone smartphone will come with the Padstation dock that functions like a tablet when it is paired with the Padfone. Display of Smartphone is seamlessly switched to the larger screen and regulated for most favorable screening whereas its battery is charged at the same time. The Padstation also gets instantaneous access to the functions of smartphone such as 3G data connection.
The Asus Transfomer keyboard dock is supported by Padfone. One SIM card is used for two devices. You can make your screen size bigger any time you require. You can do transition of applications seamlessly between pad and phone. Data transfer can be done with a single storage pool without any hassle. For charging your phone, you can utilize the pad as an extended battery. You can get a video conferencing experience and easily share it with friends and family.
The Padfone has been specially made to complete a demand for both tablet and smartphone users. Users are allowed by this Padfone to switch seamlessly between pad and phone for an experience that best-fit to their activities, at any time. The phone and pad share internet access from the 3G network connection, as a single storage pool streamlines data storage.
