The Korean manufacturer, Samsung, has confirmed that it will unveil Samsung Galaxy S III in mid of this year. However, another Korean manufacturer, LG, has secretly planned a new high-end handset to compete with Samsung’s upcoming highly-anticipated device. The code name of the new high-end handset of LG is D1L. It is expected that this handset will be head-to-head competitor of the Galaxy SIII in terms of features, hardware, multitasking and performance. Also, it is rumored to compete with the HTC One X. LG will launch the handset around the 2nd week of May which is much before than Galaxy SIII.
LG D1L has been spotted in the roadmap of Korean Site, DDaily. As per the Korean Site, the device will come with 4.7 inch HD LCD display with resolution of 1280*720p which is almost same as the Galaxy S3. It is also expected to feature dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and latest Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich. It will be the first handset of the company which will be equipped with Android 4.0 OS. The LG D1L will support LTE connectivity along with 3G mobile connectivity.
The LG D1L will feature on the same specs like the Optimus 4X HD but it will have a Qualcomm chipset and the LTE connectivity. The company has not confirmed any details about D1L except codename. All the specs revealed are only rumors. These specs are fairly decent and enough to create a spark in the young generation. LG fans expects that features, which are not released yet, should be much cooler compared to these specs.
