LG Optimus LTE P936: Specs Revealed

Last week a new LG Android smartphone had made an appearance on the FCC’s certification roster. Codenamed LG Optimus LTE P936, now this new phone has been spotted online over at GSMDome.com site. The folks at GSM Dome have published few pics of a late prototype of the handset, together with a number of specs and benchmark results. This device is yet to be officially announced by LG, which is one of the best companies for manufacturing of devices that provides standard results. When it comes to the features and specs of LG Optimus LTE P936, it seems that this new smartphone will give a firm competition to other smartphones.

LG Optimus LTE P936: Specs Revealed

The design of this LTE P936 matches with the Korea-bound LG Optimus LTE SU640 and even some of the specifications. According to the rumors, LG Optimus LTE P936 will be equipped with a 4.5 inches HD-IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that gives the resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Moreover, it will be powered by a1.5 GHz Scorpion processor and work on Android OS, v2.3.6 (Gingerbread) – upgradable to v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). This software configuration provides a superb experience of smart processing. The dimension of the phone is 132.9 x 67.9 x 10.4 mm and weighs 135 g.

The camera configuration of LG Optimus LTE P936 is quite good – one rear facing camera of 8MP with resolution of 3264×2448 pixels, which records advanced video with LED video light and secondary camera of VGA with features such as face detection, geo-tagging and smile detection. The battery backup of device is probable to be rather longer. It has in built memory of 8 GB, which can be further expanded up to 32GB using micro SD card. Other features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G network capability, etc.

Price and release date of LG Optimus LTE P936:

There are no official details regarding the price of LG Optimus LTE P936 smartphone until now. This handset has been released on March, 2012 and expected to be available in Q1, 2012. Taking into consideration that the US, South Korea and Canada already have their variants of the Optimus LTE, this upcoming phone may be headed to Europe only. Nothing is official by LG yet, so let’s see what official release is going to tell regarding it.
