LG Cloud is a storage service that makes easy online sharing of content and files between TVs, smartphones, PCs and tablets and has been launched by South Korean electronics giant LG. Users can enjoy music files, video clips, or photo files wherever they are with LG Cloud, whose aim is to offer streaming access and seamless connectivity to all digital content in different electronic devices. Users are allowed to manage and use all kinds of content on “three screens” such as Android smartphones, PCs and smart TVs without a separate set-top box by LG Cloud.
Users get 5GB of free storage space with LG Cloud. You will get 50GB of free storage for the first six months, in case you have bought LG Smart TV or an LG smartphone. You can upload data up to 2GB at a time. LG SmartTVs also access the file that is stored in the LG Cloud. LG Cloud comes with a desktop client, Folder sync functionality, with which it works like Dropbox when you install it on several computers. If users want to use the service, they need to use their Android smartphones to download the LG Cloud app from Google Play or LG SmartWorld app store; use their LG Smart TVs to download the LG Cloud app from LG SmartWorld store; or use their PCs or laptops to download the LG Cloud app from the LG Cloud website, www.lgecloud.com. However, LG Cloud is available to LG SmartTVs (NetCast 2.0 and higher, 3.0 recommended), PCs (Windows XP, Windows 7 – 32bits only), and Android smartphones (Android 2.2 and higher, 2.3 recommended). Smartphone content is mechanically synchronized with the cloud server and the user’s PC and TV by LG’s Cloud service.
