World’s first remote-controlled Cafe launched



A Swedish agency called Perfect Fools came up with a unique concept of a remote-controlled Café during the World Design Capital Helsinki 2012. The cafe named Kauko was launched on 9th January 2012 and since then it has been receiving lot of attention all around the world. The special control system of café enables the authorized users to control the height of chairs and tables as well as control the ambience of cafe by changing music and lightings by just logging into a website youdesign.fi. The cafe offers wireless connection, weekly magazines and free coffee.

The extraordinary cafe was built in Denmark and it has been said that the Perfect Fools team took around six months for completing the design and construction of this cafe. There exists a special queuing system online to control the situation where lot of people tries to change the height of same chair or change the music at the same time. It is expected that Perfect Fools will bring the Kauko cafe on roads very soon. The cafe will be started in Finland and then in several other locations in coming period.
