Lava Mobiles has taken a big entry into the reasonable smartphone field with the launch of a new smartphone series in India, dubbed as Iris. The maker of Lava Mobiles – Lava International is planning to bring a complete new range of smartphones under its flagship smartphone brand – Iris. According to company, this brand will supply rich smartphone experience to users and even supports their wallets. The first handset of this series N350 is available now in the country with the price tag of just Rs. 5,499, plus offered on Snapdeal for as low as Rs. 4,399. Lava IRIS N350 comes with dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) functionality also based on Android Operating system and targeted at entry level smartphone users.
Lava IRIS N350 features a 3.5″ HVGA LCD capacitive multi-touch display with 320 x 480 pixels resolution. It includes a 1,300 mAh battery, measures 115 x 61.5 x 11.9 mm and weighs 115 grams. The handset is powered by a 1GHz processor with 160MB of internal memory (32GB expendable memory via MicroSd card), and it runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system – missing Ice Cream Sandwich is indeed a downside. It comes with a 2 Megapixel camera at the back and a 0.3 Megapixel front-facing camera. The device supports Wi-Fi, GPRS/EDGE and Bluetooth, however it does not support 3G connectivity. It seems that Verizon and the Taiwanese manufacturer, HTC, is all set to launch a new android smartphone called HTC Droid DNA. The name of the device is yet to be confirmed, it is simply listed as the HTC6435LVW by the FCC. It is anticipated that the device will be launched in the month of December.
As per the reports, HTC Droid DNA is said to be Verizon’s version of the HTC J Butterfly which was announced recently.
