FORD has introduced the Fusion’s European cousin, 2013 Mondeo, at its recent ‘Go Further’ brand event in Amsterdam and also it will be unveiled at the upcoming Paris motor show (Sep. 29 – Oct. 14). The European variant will be available in different body styles such as a sedan, hatchback and wagon. When compared to the outgoing model, the 2013 Mondeo is about 80mm longer and intended to reinforce the model’s appeal to purchasers of big family cars like the Volkswagen Passat and Vauxhall Insignia. As well, it seems to be more deluxe than before; thus, the company is hopefully believe that it could steal sales from low-end Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series models by providing extra space at low cost.
The company is planning a widespread revamp of the Mondeo’s engine and transmission line-up, with smaller petrol and diesel motors, as well as the alternative of four-wheel drive. Amazon has officially announced not one… but three new Kindle Fire HD tablets during a press event that held in Santa Monica, California. The three new versions are Kindle Fire HD (7-inch) tablet, Kindle Fire HD (8.9-inch) tablet, and Kindle Fire HD (8.9-inch) tablet with 4G LTE wireless. The company has assured that all new tablets would come with various innovative features including a bigger display, more storage capacity, and mobile broadband capabilities, compared to their predecessor Kindle Fire that was announced last year. Plus, these new tablets will have a much powerful processor and a front facing camera, which were missing in the original Kindle Fire.

Amazon has also revealed the pricing details of all three tablets. In fact, Amazon has already started accepting preorders for these tablets. The Kindle Fire HD 7-inch model will cost you just $199, while the price of the Kindle Fire HD 8.9-inch model is $299 for 16GB and $599 for 64GB. The 8.9 inch model with AT&T’s 4G LTE support is priced at $499 for 32GB and $599 for 64GB. Kobo has unveiled a 7-inch Android-based tablet called Kobo Arc. This new entry level Android tablet is focused mainly on providing a platform for reading eBooks. This is the second time that Kobo is launching a 7 inch tablet. Last year, Kobo had launched a 7 inch tablet called the Vox but it didn’t go so well. This time, Kobo is pretty much sure that the entry of new Kobo Arc with better features and specs will definitely improve its position in the tablet market. Kobo has also confirmed that the Kobo Arc tablet will be launched in the market by the month of November 2012. It is highly expected that the 8GB version of the tablet will cost just $199.99 and the 16GB version will be priced at $249.99 only.

Motorola has officially announced a new Droid RAZR smartphone named DROID RAZR HD during the press event held in the city of New York. Nokia announced its latest handset named Nokia Lumia 820 at the Nokia’s Windows Phone 8 event in the New York City. The device is a mid-range smartphone which is expected to generate high-end performance. Lumia 820 will be available in two variants such as pentaband LTE and HSPA+ which is expected to ship within few months. It will be offered in colors such as grey, purple, yellow, red, white, black and cyan. The device will be offered with changeable case or shell in a wide range of colors.
