BMW has proven itself a coupe crazy because it turned everything… from the 3 Series sedan to the X5 crossover into coupes. Project ‘i’ family of BMW already includes the Five-door i3, i8 and i8 Spider models, now it has emerged the fourth concept model, i3 Concept Coupe – the first fully-connected electric vehicle that is specifically built by keeping in mind the demand of e-mobility. The i3 Concept Coupe is an all-electric, which offers premium-class motoring with zero local emissions. It is a three-door hatch and based on BMW’s new i3 electric city car (five-door), which was already revealed in July 2011 but due on sale in late 2013. Thus, i3 Concept Coupe has been revealed earlier of the original i3 concept car at the 2012 Los Angeles motor show and it could arrive in 2014.
i3 Concept Coupe and the original i3 concept car (five-door) share the same overall look and the same electric powertrain. The BMW i3 Concept Coupe’s electric engine generates an output of 125 kW/170 hp (and a maximum torque of 250 Newton meters), driving the rear wheels via a single-speed gearbox. The e-motor gathers energy from powerful lithium-ion batteries, which are smoothly integrated under the floor. i3 Concept Coupe has 3 energy modes – COMFORT, ECO PRO and ECO PRO+, so that the driver can easily adjust from maximum ride comfort, extended range and maximum range, customizing the driving experience. The updated version of i3 concept coincided with the inauguration of first and foremost i Store of BMW all over the world. i Pedelec or Pedal Electric Cycle is the great accessory provided with BMW i3. Good news for BMW enthusiasts as now they can see the official images and get details about the M-induced 1-Series hatch, labeled as the M135i. The first BMW M Performance Automobile with a petrol engine is the BMW M135i. Earlier this year the model was originally previewed in concept form and now has moved to full production. The company has also released the first video of BMW M135i to provide you detailed info about the car. Take a look at both, the three and five-door versions of the car in this film. Unlike other small hatchback and like the earlier 1 Series, the M135i will be rear-wheel drive, and even accessible with BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive. This move for M is very strange, which has been connubial to rear-wheel drive since time immemorial.
All ingredients of a complete M car are included in the M135i. The new high performance variant (M135i) is powered by a 3.0-liter, straight 6-cylinder engine that pumps 320PS (235kW/315hp) and 450Nm (332lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. BMW has disclosed its 3rd concept for its new BMW i sub-brand, the i8 Spyder Concept, which will be released at 2012 New York Auto Show and plan to make its debut at the 2012 China Show in Beijing, late in April. The i8 Spyder concept is one and only, open top version of the i8 Concept that provides some sexy convertible looks. The Spyder version comes as a surprise with i8 prototypes and out in complete force for testing purpose in public, recently. The leaked images of the BMW i8 concept have been revealed by Autoforum. The photos you can observe are not the work of any graphics renderer with a Photoshop and a stable mouse hand, instead they are ‘actual’ pics set by BMW for a car they have already built.

The most striking features of the BMW i8 Spyder Concept includes the windowless doors, upward-swiveling, and an array of purpose-oriented on-board equipment plus electric kickboards stowed beneath a transparent tailgate. The concept is a plug-in hybrid powered by an eDrive drivetrain merging a high-performance electric motor and petrol combustion engine. The sports car is based on the modern LifeDrive architecture and features a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, which works with an electric motor to provide a joint output of 353 PS (260 kW / 349 hp) and 550 Nm (406 Nm) of torque. In 2011, BMW announced a sub brand known as BMW i for electric vehicles to commercialize low emission vehicles. Currently, BMW i has included two production models, BMW i3 and BMW i8. The i3 will be for city use and i8 will combine the electric and gas-powered engines to emerge as a sports car. However, there is no word yet about their official launch and specifications. Back in August 2011, a Canadian designer came up wіth thе BMW i1 thοught and this time a Spaniard has come with an amazing i-FD concept. The developer Feliciano Ruy-Díaz is an industrial designer from Valencia, Spain. Feliciano Ruy-Diaz’s concept was inspired from several sources like ancient Greek armor, lines of great White sharks, and the buildings of world-well-known Spanish architect and structural engineer Santiago Calatrava.
